Educational projects for primary and secondary schools together with Tania Prates-Rein, 2011 producing “Paper Music”, inspired by oscar-winning Chinese composer Tan Dun. The idea is making music together on self made paper instruments and accompanying a performance of a  theatre play based on a Chinese fairy tale. Succesful in Germany and the Netherlands, Michael and Tania were invited in 2014 by the ICBA in Cochabamba and Sucre and the Goethe Zentrum in Santa Cruz dela Sierra (BOL) to perform with local students.

2024 teaching various masterclasses in Brasil, for example at the Festival "Musica que transforma" at the Academy of the Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica in Rio de Janeiro
